Memory’s Door by James L. Rubart is a wonderful second in the Well Spring Novels. Mr. Rubart is quickly becoming one of my all time favorite authors. His writing is on point and descriptive. He explores the things behind the veil with boldness and clarity that I have come to enjoy thoroughly. I look forward to reading his work. I know when I pick up one of his novels, I’m in for an adventure that contains depth and profound revelation!
The book carries the same fast paced, page turning action as Soul’s Gate. The characters develop more in personal areas and in spiritual ones too. I love character building in a series. Dana, Brandon, Reece and Marcus are starting to feel like family! The first book, Soul’s Gate left you with unanswered questions and Memory’s Door answers then in incredible journeys into the supernatural that leave you breathless and captivated.
New “characters” are introduced in this book. If they are friends or enemies is unknown and that keeps you questioning the whole way through till the end which added a nice spin on a very intense book. The character, Marcus, really shined in this novel and his journey made me laugh and cry.
The ending is pleasant and gives you a feel of finality, but the very last sentence let’s you know that the journey of the Warriors Ridding is not finished yet. I’m looking forward to the conclusion to this trilogy, Spirit Bridge. If it stays true to James’ writing style it is sure to be an action packed book of twist, turns and heart felt sentiment. Not to mention the incredible spiritual aspects and supernatural battles that keep you on the edge of your seat! I’m excited to see where this ends up in the conclusion!
I give Memory’s Door 5* and two thumbs up! Awesome book! I highly recommend it!
